  1. Significant progress in Land Registration across Cambodia

Cambodia has made significant progress in land registration, with over 1,059 land parcels covering 1,763 hectares registered as of June 23, 2025. The Ministry of Land Management reports that 13.3 million out of an estimated 13.7 million land parcels have now been measured. 14 provinces have completed systematic land registration, with 7 provinces fully finished. This initiative aims to improve land ownership clarity and support sustainable development.

  1. Cross-Border QR Payment Cooperation between Cambodia (KHQR) and Japan (JPQR).

Cambodia and Japan have launched cross-border QR code payment cooperation, linking Cambodia’s KHQR with Japan’s JPQR systems. In the first phase, Cambodian users can make payments in Japan using the Bakong system. The second phase will allow Japanese users to pay in Cambodia. This initiative aims to boost tourism, trade, and digital payment convenience while reducing the need for currency exchange.
